There is so much material on the internet that I rarely get through 1% of all that I wish to read. My reading is driven by available time.

I skim the headers looking for topics of interest, posters with whom I'm familiar, or threads I've read/posted to previously.

As a rule, I don't do pictures on WoodCentral because the World of Woodturners is a much better site for pictures, in my opinion. I hate going to multiple sites for duplicate content. I also quit the AAW site and WOOD ONLINE for the same reason.

Mondays are usually an accummulation of a whole weekend's worth of reading, so I read even less percentage on Monday. I didn't even notice this thread until today and you posted on Wednesday.

Another pet peave is segmented turning. It's like all those psychodellic pictures from the 60s. I don't do drugs so I guess I can't get into them.

The last bee in my bonnet is hollow form. All that wood turned to shavings to make something you could have made from pennies out of clay and then turned a wood collar for it.

Pens are the true expression of woodturning skill if you ask me. Small tools, 4000 rpm, finishing and rounding off the corners with a skew so you can start sanding at 220-320 grit, getting a super gloss from frcition polish.....That's where the real skill is. =o)
