>Does anyone know the shelf life of anchorseal?
I obtain turning logs once in a while but not often enough to buy a big bucket of anchorseal. Even a small bucket might sit around for a period of time before using it again.

>Anchorseal is a water soluble wax. The worst that can happen is that the water will evaporate and it will get too thick to use.
When that happens, add water. If you add too much water, leave it open for awhile and let the excess evaporate.

>I have a 55 gallon drum which is about 2 years old now and have no problem with it deteriorating. If you are going to keep it in an area which could see freezing temperatures you may want to get the version where they add a chemical similar to antifreeze. This does not affect its color only protects the wax from separating if exposed to freezing temperatures.
