>Junealuska (sp.)is at Waynesville, NC just off of I-40 about thirty miles from Tennessee border. Packard, http://www.packardwoodworks.com/ is twenty miles east on I-40 and then 32 miles east(actually south) on I-26 from Juneluska @ Tryon, NC. Packard sells only turning stuff. Cormark International, http://www.cormarkint.com/ is ten miles north of Asheville. Cormark is a purveyor of fine African and domestic hardwoods. The Biltmore House, America's only true castle, was built from virgin timber from the 1890's, is in Asheville. Asheville is 24 miles east of Juneluska. You can see boards that are over 48" wide. It is well worth the $50 admission.
Carolina Mountain Woodturners will meet on Sept 25 for their annual auction. They meet at the Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway a few miles north of Asheville. This is the largest AAW club in America with about 350 members.
