New Bottle Stoppers

Jim Shaver - Oakville, Ontario

>Hi,

I have been on a bottle stopper blitz the last few days, these three are some of my favorites. Two are red dyed maple and the third is a tulip wood stopper. The metal componet ios from Lee Valley. The shapes are fun and I enjoy the process, just thought I'd post some of my work.

take care,

Jim

>Jim, very nice looking stoppers...I like them all. But, you're probably paying a premium on the hardware, and can find a much less expensive source for the same stuff. Send me an email if you're interested in some recommendations.

In the mean time, why don't you join our little stopper turning and collecting group...just dial into the link below.

Cheers!

>Very nice Jim. I like the longish one the best. I always tend to run out of design ideas after a long run...then I have to change over to some other project. The dyes look nice too!

Less expensive hardware source?

Joe Pack

>Don't be stingy, Ed. I would like to know about less expensive hardware, too. :-) I buy a few from Berea Hardwoods, but am always looking for other sources.

>I buy from PSI. They give quantity discounts at various thresholds. I buy 100 at a time for $1.85 each. Besides price, it's a good product. See below:
