New to turning in Toledo

Ken DeMarco

>Well, I've done it now. Just bought a jet mini lathe. I have been reading posts on the turning board for a couple of weeks and have picked up on a lot of great newbie suggestions re books videos and joining a club. Are there any turners here from the Toledo area? It seems the closest club is in the Ann Arbor area, does anybody know of any closer? attached is a pic of my first attempt at a small bowl. and big thanks to all here for the great inspiration and advice I have been picking up so far.

>Thanks Mike, I hope you know this whole lathe thing is partially YOUR fault! (you and Bill Grumbine and Dominic and on and on) absolutely beautiful work you've been posting! I especially like the one with the gold leaf inside. I always thought your cutting boards were really neat, but your turnings are truly stunning.
