Smart miter GOT ONE? *LINK*

>Love the video, I have the miter 1000. This looks so easy and good is it?. If i bought one for the right side of the blade can you pull off compound miters (not that I have need for them as of yet but could that work) I have a left tilt saw. I figure turners would know if these things work and what don't

are they acurate?

Got one!

>Love it, love it, love it. Use it all of the time. Extreme accuracy. I also have the sled for the cutoff side, it makes work even more accurate and safe.

>I have one and while it is very accurate there is room for operator error. Cutting compound angles for say staves is not a problem but you can't use the regular cutoff sled. I also don't use use the measurement scale and cut to size on the left side of the blade. Instead I have a stop set up that I clamp to the fence and cut on the rigth. The reason is clamping a short segment and leaving the long overhang on the right side short segment allows for some movement.

I am going to try wasting some wood cutting segments to rough length and then cutting the angles to see how it works.

>Well I just placed an order 17 minutes ago. The second I pressed send buyers remorse hit. I believe however I will use it more than the incra 1000 Lets say beyond the 90 degree mark that is the incra is acurate yes! but so hard to adjust.

Mahalo for your input

>I think you'll like it. I bought mine at the factory in San Antonio during an open house last Dec. A great bunch of folks down there and will work with you if you have any problems. There is also a message forum on their web site.
