Mesquite Stump

>This a Mesquite Stump. Mesquite is found here in Prescott, Arizona where I live. This was the first time I have turned a piece with so many voids in it. I can see where it is so difficult to turn with so much air to be cut.
It is 7 1/2 inches wide - 6 1/2 inches tall and 1/4 inch thick. It is finished with danish oil then hand rubbed. All comments welcome

That is awesome! I love the color and wild swirling grain in that wood. However, I'm really left wondering what's holding the whole thing together!!! That's a lot of voids.

>I finished the outside 100% and then chucked it up and wrapped it up with shrink wrap. The shrink wrap held it together while I turned and finished the inside. I also used a steady rest while doing the inside. Thank you for your comments, it is much appreciated.
