Robert Case

>I am new to this...I have a JET 1236 with a face plate, and I can not remove it.....I want to make sure that I am turning it the correct way.... is it a regular thread or reverse thread-to unscrew(take it off)- clockwise or counterclockwise?

Thanks,

Robert

PS: My first bowl came out well....

>I'm not that familiar with the Jets, but I would ASSUME that you would turn counter-clockwise to remove the faceplate. However, to prevent this from happening in the future, you can purchase a nylon washer to put between the spindle and the faceplate and it will prevent the faceplate from seizing up. Craft Supplies sells them--at least that's where I got mine. Or, I have read about folks making their own from the side of a plastic milk jug.
