Another good DVD is the Stuart Batty/Mike Mahoney DVD - "Two Ways to Make a Bowl". But, remember that Mike is left handed. All are good videos to get you started. I made my first bowl after watching the Raffin tape. I learned how to use the "side grind" after watching the Ellsworth tape. And I have learned a lot from watching the rest.
But is also helps to have had handson workshops with both Raffin and Batty. That is where you quickly learn a lot of the little tool techniques - whether you want to or not...
