new potpourri and a natural edge bowls

>I have a few more potpourri bowls completed and a new natural edge bowl to show. The potpourri bowls are from cherry, curly maple, and walnut and are all approx. 5" in diameter and between 2 and 2 1/2" high. The finish is Minwax Tung Oil Finish. They will soon be getting a Beall buffing.

The natural edge bowl is made from walnut and is about 6" in diameter and 3-4" deep. I had to glue half the bark edge back on as it separated from the sapwood while I was turning. Fortunately none of the bark broke off and I was able to use CA glue to reattach it. The bowl is about 3/8" thick to show off the bark. The finish is Minwax Tung Oil Finish and the sides and inside will soon get a Beall buffing. The bark will not.

Thanks for looking.

>Pretty nice stuff Keith. The form on the Potpourri Pots is very simple, yet elegant looking..........nice job! The Walnut bowl looks great as well...............REAL nice chunk of wood, lots of character. Nice save on the bark too............don't ya hate it when that happens? Thanks for sharing the pics.......wonderful turnings!
