woodturning club

Bud

>Hey all,

I'm new to turning, but have jumped in with both feet and a blindfold. I have an old Oliver lathe, but other than playing around with it, don't really know how to use it.

I've seen posted references to woodturning clubs. I live in northern Indiana, next to Notre Dame (South Bend). Does anyone know of a club close to this area?

Thanks, Bud

>Bud,

Check out http://www.woodturner.org. This is the home of the AAW (American Association of Woodturners). They list a local chapter in Ft. Wayne and one in Indianapolis with contact info.

Hope this helps.

I can help you in October.

Dave Smith, Longview, WA

>Hi Bud,

I don't know about any clubs in your area. I was born and raised North of South Bend. Went to Clay High School. Now that you are impressed I will offer to give you some free lessons when I am visiting the area during the last week in October.

Dave Smith

I don't make money on free lessons but make it up on volume in Longview, WA.
