>I always have a 5 gal bucket around when I am turning and throw shavings into it to make clean ups further apart. I'm not compulsive like Mike Schwing and don't always get around to shoveling chips every night. I started putting my gouges into the bucket so that they were handy. Last night I was turning some very green Beech, thew the chips in the bucket but forgot to remove the gouges and hang them up. Boy did I ever learn how to generate rust overnight. UgggH! By the way can you generate spontaneous combustion with wet shavings???
