>I just received my copy of "500 wood bowls" by Lark press.

It is mostly pictoral, but there is some tremondous pieces in the book. I am fortunate to have a piece of mine represented there.

There are some really inspiring pieces! Anyone else see this book yet?

Congratulations. My friend Marion Randolph has a piece in there also. We photographed it so long ago I've forgotten which piece it was. I just got a glipse of 500 rings (or maybe it was 1000). Anyway my friend Bob Coogan has 3 rings in there. They were really hard to photogaph.

>Hi Steve, Yes, your piece is in there also! Congrats! I wonder how many entries were scanned to come up with the final 500? Many of the bowls are carved rather than turned; I imagine they solicited the carving community as well.

We said a quick "hello" at Orlando...wish there was more time! (that was me with the shopping cart full of burls)

I picked it up last week...

>It really has quite the gamut of turned/carved bowls...I keep picking it up and re-reading it. It has really given me inspiration for future turning forms.

>Hi Keith,

I didn't even hear about this one until it was too late. Not that I would have gotten one in. But I think my friend Brian Donahue has at least one in there.

I am looking forward to seeing it.

Congrats,

Dave

>Hey Keith,

Congratulations!

I can't wait to see that book.

I have a piece in there too (Citrus Blossom).

I am familiar with the 500 Bowls book. It's a book on pottery. Its format is very "coffee table" book like. Almost all pictures with plenty of inspiration!
