Wolverine system ?

>I just completed setting up my new Wolverine sharpening system. I am using a new 8" VS Delta grinder with two new Norton white oxide wheels. A 60 and 100 grit. I am getting lots of vibration. I wonder why in the instrutions they tell you to remove the rubber feet? I have tried changing the wheels around and dressing them and still lots of vibration. Any suggestions?

>You need to remove the rubber feet so that the grinder is tied to the grinding jig bases. You should reattach the rubber feet to the bottom of the board that you mounted the grinder and bases on. If you are still getting a lot of vibration you may need to balance the wheels. If you have any questions about balancing your wheels please e-mail me.

>Don if "changing the wheels around" included the new grinder vibrating with its original wheels on or with wheels off but the flanges/nuts on, take it back and get another Delta (maybe better a 8" Woodcraft import), testing it at the dealer's. If the Delta is ok then others here will discuss checking and correcting bad wheels and shaft adapters. Arch

>If you remove the wheels and still have vibration, you're got a motor problem. But if its smooth without the wheels, it means your grinding wheels are out of balance. I recommend the Oneway balancing system. I have it installed on both my grinders and they are smooth as can be.
