But I think John is one of the best teachers out there. And I am looking forward to seeing it.

I also think the DVD is the best format for teaching. It is so easy to jump back and forth to different chapters.

I was sick that I had to miss the taping,had to work. I lot of my friends were there and they tell me it was really good. I was at the TAW symposium when John first gave this lecture. It was one of the best I've ever been to.

I haven't picked up the Video or DVD yet but will probably buy it for our Crossville club. Anyone who works in wood should view it, especiallly if you work in green wood.

I'm working on it. A video "Finishing Secrets", with lecture, demonstrations, and mistakes.

It should be ready by October (I hope).

I would buy one. His other quote I like is "turn a thin one and get over it" He was answering the question how thin should I turn a piece. The idea was to turn one so you know you can do it and then turn the piece as thick or thin as it needs to be. Probably the best advice I got when growing as a turner.

I also apologize for not posting much other than this message, but I still have VERY slow dial-up and it's an ordeal to monitor and post to a web based board.That's about to change as we let the phone co. build a new switching station on our property, so we get free phone and DSL for ***life***. Also got a new driveway to my barn. :-)
