Woodturning in Houston

Mark Kauder, Phenix City, AL

>A couple of weeks ago, I asked about Woodturning in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Well, my (Lotus Notes admin) class location changed to Houston.

I will be flying in Sunday, 8 Aug, and leaving the morning of Thursday, 12 Aug. My evenings will be free.

My class and hotel are in Bellaire.

Anyone know of anything of woodturning interest in the Houston area?

Mark

Mark, call me when you get into Houston. 713-827-8063.

We can do an evening at a pub and maybe see my shop. Not much of interest going on right now, but what else do you have to do in Bellaire?

>Sam,

I don't drink, but maybe I can buy you dinner (I'm the one on the expense account). Would love to see your shop.

Let me know if one day is better than the other.

>Mark,

You could check out the Cutting Edge on the Southwest side of Houston. They specialize in woodturning and hand tools. I checked their class schedule, but nothing related to turning during your time there. Their website is:

http://www.cuttingedgetools.com/

Also, there is a Wood Craft store on the Northwest side of Houston.

FWIW,
