Traveling to Texas

>Not me, but my husband will be in Dallas on business for a couple of weeks. The last time he was there he brought me a 4x4 section of mesquite. What other local woods grow in Texas - for all you turners in the lone star state -- that he can bring back?
He's not a turner, bit the best supportive spouse one could ask for :-)
