Missing the 5 Barns AGAIN!!!!

Doug Trembath

>Man, I wish I had been able to make the 5 Barns gathering! Too many family things going, to my chagrin. I just know they are right now gearing up for a heck of a good time, as I sit here with my coffee and a sad look on my face. Let's all wish them the best, and hope they all post some great pictures. Best of luck, Bill!

>I feel the same way, Doug. My wife and I made it two years ago and had a great time at the Grumbine compound. I also hope that everyone is having a wonderful time this year.

Hope you make Sophie's next year

>Hi David,

It is good to see your name again. I assume you are doing well in your training. I have some stunning fiddleback big leaf maple I cut last week. Should I keep it for your graduation. You may be tempted to turn it when you see it.

>Yes. It is True . . .you indeed missed [again] a prime gathering, prime food, prime demos, primo Instant Gallery, and a truly exceptional group believed to have topped 100 this year.

Ah, but then there WILL be Nest Year! Just trhink, redemption is a mere 364 days away.

>Hi David,

I'm sorry you couldn't make it. I'd tell you it really wasn't that good and you didn't miss anything and it really wasn't worth the 9 hour drive, but.... :)

I'm sorry classes got in the way. I hope things work out and you can make it next year. It really was a blast. I did drive just as I indicated I would, leaving Apex about 6:00 AM Friday put me up there in plenty of time for some late afternoon gabbing and then dinner. I left Sunday morning about 5:00 and had virtually no traffic on the way home. A little rain, but that just served to keep my newly acquired wood moist in the bed of the truck!

Talk to you soon,

Mike
