>Just got an offer from Lightning Publications for books, and several magazines. One of the mags is "Woodturning, the world's leading magazine for woodturners". Is this a new mag or has it been around for a while? Any of yawl subscribers?

Any good? It should be, cause it's kind of expensive as mags go, at $59.95 for 12 issues.

>W.C. it's more like 70+. I have been gitting it for about 3 years and love it. You just have to get learn how the English Call things by different manes. Like paper towles, Kitchen papers for one.

There is a new mag printer in the US. Woodturning Design. Comes out 4 times a year for $19.97. They have a web sight. www.woodturningdesign.com

>I have every issue that Woodturning magazine has ever published and think that it is a fine magazine. I might be biased since I have written the Letter from America column for them for the last five years. The price you quote is a good price for the magazine. It has just changed to 13 issues a year recently. It is a considerable better magazine than the new Woodturning Design magazine and it comes out more often. While you're asking about magazines don't forget to check out More Woodturning. It isn't a magazine and it isn't in color, but it has a lot of good information in its 10 issues each year. Just watch for the banner ad and click on it. You can now look at a sample copy of the publication at the web site.

>I ordered the magazine through Lightning Press--the ad that you got-- and it is the same magazine that you order direct from England for $71+. I think it is a real steal ordering it through a US dealer instead of direct from England. It's a great magazine and it's now 13 issues a year. Not a bad price for that many issues.
