>What will hapen if I bleach spalted hackberry wood. I want to lighten the gray areas with out loosing the black lines.

>The black lines (Zone Lines) will also bleach. No way around it. I've seen others try to "pencil in" those lines afterward but it looks terrible.
If you have patience and a whole lot of finger control, you can try using these new Bleach Pens (Clorox I think?) to carefully bleach around the lines. I think that would end up looking bad too though.
