>I've got 2 Capital Pear trees that just received some storm damage. These trees also suffer from Fire Blight, & I'm gonna have to take them down.
Does anybody know if diseased wood poses any health hazards to wood turning humans?

But if you think about it, much of the wood we aquire is thanks to dead or diseased trees being cut down so chances are we all turn "diseased" wood at some point.

>You won't catch a disease from it, but you do stand a chance of having an allergic reaction to the fungus, or the wood/fungus combination. Wear good dust protection when you work it (just like you always do, right?), wash up good when you are done. I wash ww clothes separate from the rest of the laundry.
