Turning chat tonight

>If I can think of a good topic. What about "Common woods with uncommon color?" Things like mineral stained poplar and ambrosia sycamore come to mind. What common woods have you found with unusual color? The old, bland Hackberry can be spectacular when spalted; ditto for magnolia. Boxelder with no red can still be beautiful when it turns blue. Are there others?
Join us tonight at 9 or so for greetings and we'll start the topic at 9:30pm eastern.
