>Old WWI German UBoat story: Flush toilets don't work well underwater. The Germans developed a complicated valving and vacuum system for their early UBoats. At the end of the war, U.S. Navy officers inspected the fleet in Kiel. Along the way, one young J.G. was missing. Fearing he was done in, a search of the UBoats was initiated. The missing officer was finally found trying to use the head firmly stuck to the fixture.
