>HI Sean. It appears that the restrained boring bar has an attachment for a laser set up. It also appears that the three wheel steady rest preculdes using the laser. Any plans in the futrue for a four wheeled steady or one with the three wheel supports rotated 60 degrees to free up the opening above the work piece? Depending upon the clamping structure design, the bottom wheel support could extend down between the bed ways.

>Yes, It is made for a laser. I didn't have it set up just to rough hollow. As for the steady rest, I have a shorter wheel bar I put on to replace the longer one on top when I use the Laser, works great. It's just several inches shorter allowing use of the laser assembly. The clamping assembly does not allow a wheel at the bottom. But for fourty bucks, I'm not complaining. I got the hollowing rig from John Lea at Woodturning Tools. Sean
