>There are two holes in the colar of the spindle. Place the end of the knockout bar in one of the holes and rest the other end of the bar against the lathe.

>If you are locking the spindle to remove something, insert the knock-out rod into the hole in the spindle collar and wedge the knob end against the lathe bed. If you are locking it off and on to divide a turning's circumference, ask again, that's for further discussion. Arch
