I'll pass along an Ellsworth comment re faceplates:
Use nothing over 4" in diameter made from aluminum. 6" and over - steel only
I have followed that advice.

>Mark, I think that in general, that comment would apply. On the other hand, if you see one of Steve Mink's 8" faceplates, you'd probably never have another doubt as to how well they function. Check out his link in the post above. I have a number of them, and they're just wonderful. Steve's a friend of mine, but I still wouldn't recommend something I didn't believe in. Steve's a great guy, and a pretty fair turner, as well.
