>I just got off the phone with Packard Woodworks. I ordered the Jamiesen hollowing set. I had been considering building one. However, I decided to just buy the darn thing. I got the set with the laser and all. I sure can't wait till it shows up.
Anyone have advice on using it?

>I hope you invested another $29.95 to buy the Jamieson Video, Hollow Forms the Easy Way. That video takes you through all of the steps for using a stabilized boring bar with a laser attachment. That is the best advice that I can give you. I've had the Jamieson system for about a year now and find it an excellent hollowing rig. I did have to add a bed extension to my NOVA DVR 3000 to make it long enough to handle the boring bar, 24" between centers is not enough.

>I agree with everything Fred says, especially, get the video. Come to think of it, according to Parckar's ad, the video is included with both Lyle's Basic and Master Jamieson Set (which I gather you bought since you mention the laser system) so you should be all set.
I've taken both Lyle's Introductory and Hollowing hands-on classes. I have his video and, from time to time, rerun it. Every time I do I learn or relearn something.
