>Some members of our turning club went to the Phoenix Rockler store today to particapate in the Freedom Pen Project. Lots of folks showed up to turn pens and about half have never turned a pen before, including myself. We had a blast.Pen turning can be fun.For those interested, I posted some pictures of the event on our web sites home page. Take care, Sean

Jack (Turtle Workshop)

>Howdy,

Our club out here in SW ORegon have completed 50 pens and just received an additional 100. Depending upon community help we aim to try for 1000.

We get our wood from cutoffs from cabinet shops and hardwood stores.

We get our kits through Freedom Pens.

I agree it is an unqualified blast and gives us all a chance to recognize our shooters a tad better than happened in my war (Vietnam - 3 times). I was young and dumb back then.
