Multi Axis Turning

>I came across a picture of a piece I did in 1992 and thought it would be fun to do another. Tried it this week and failed completely. I just can't seem to get it spinning correctly or to make the cuts to replicate this bowl. It's cherry about 8" x 3". Can one of you experienced multi axis turners suggest a step by step process?

Very nice. I'm not sure how you did it to begin with but I would start by drawing it on paper. I would start by completing the circles started by cuts on the bowl. This will give you a center point. Then draw a line perpindicular to the cut line. this will show you the angle that you mounted the piece to get that cut and also how far off center to mount the piece to get the cut.
What I'm not sure about is the juncture between the two cuts. Would you possibly have carved away that area after turning the upper part of the bowl? Neat idea. Wish I had time to explore it.
