There is only a little "turning" involved, that's the easiest way to get an object truely round.....

I'm getting my corian from a countertop shop. They save the cutoffs for me, so I get a nice assortment of colors and shapes. It works with all my normal woodworking tools.

I'm working quilt patterns with it...and the "object" is a lazy susan. I use thick CA glue to join the pieces.

You should show your work to this countertop shop, they may bring work your way.
