>Any one know how to get rid of honey bees from a hollow log? I cut a chunk off a large apple tree i brought home and soon discovered bees coming out of the center. I don't want to kill them. I'm surprised i didn't get stung.

If you cut it and leave it out they should want to leave on their own for better digs.

>You might contact a local beekeeper: sometimes the police know of one they contact when necessary. Also the states usually have a beehive inspector or two in the agriculture department, checking for bee diseases.
The beekeeper would probably be grateful for a new batch of bees and, as we pay off tree surgeons with bowls, recompense you with a pound or two of honey or beeswax.
