Gluing tubes

>I had one of those DOH! moments when the light bulb went off yesterday while gluing a tube.
I normally use a tapered punch to hold the tube while putting the glue on.
I couldn't find it.Looking for somethng to hold the tube I grabbed the top from the CA bottle.
Do you think thats why they have the shape they do?

>Fingers work quite well, actually. Since I use (mostly) thick CA, I wipe my fingers on a paper towel afterwards. The glue is actually multipurpose - it gives me something to do for the next few days, as I'm on the phone, I can pick it from my fingertips!
Seriously, I do use my fingers, and the glue isn't a problem, as I do wipe the large bulk of it off with a paper towel, immediately afterwards.
