Legacy Mill : 2 questions

>A guy is wanting to sell me a Legacy Mill. I know absolutely nothing about this thing. It is supposed to be the top of the line model with electric power driven everything, the big PC router, a big box full of cutters, all the videos; the works. Supposedly everything is there for fluted legs, spiral twists, just about anything. Question #1: Would I want the thing?
Question #2: What is it worth?

>TD, the answer to your first question would be a qualified yes if you had the space and wanted to do ornamental milling and turning. It's pretty good for spiraling, reeding, fluting and milling but is no substitute for a lathe. As for the price, I have no idea what they're worth used. Personally, I wouldn't pay more than 75% of new if it is in good shape. You'll want to look it over to see if there's any slop in x-y movement of the router when affixed to the geared movement. If there is, pass on it.
