>My friend with a high-end furniture and home furnishings store is setting aside a goodly portion for a craft gallery. She advertises well and has a good business in a small mountain town with minimal tourism. We both need guidance on how things work especially in the areas of shoplifting and shopworn merchandise, record keeping, appropriate display time for my stuff before rotating out and any other wisdom you might give us.

Thanks in advance

>Bill,

My wife recently (last October) started a craft gallery. She has not had any problems with either shoplifting or shop worn merchandise. She has recieved a lot of help from the folks at American Craft Forums. The link is below. Good luck with your venture. My wife's gallery's website is www.woodnwearables.com.
