>It's a blond and rather bland wood, often loaded with small pin knots. It has good decay resistance, but I wouldn't consider it a prime turning wood.

>The first wood i ever turned on my own lathe. Smells beautiful, and it can have some very interesting figure and grain with lots of knots. Does tend to crack, and you need a good solid tenon to hold it. Definetly worth trying.
