Re: Respirators- Trend & Air Cap

Main reason for choosing the Trend was the Triton has a belt unit - too much stuff to put on and I would be less likely to use it. The Airshield is as easy to put on as a regular faceshield. Well, a bulky, heavy faceshield. It's fine in use but if I push it up it won't balance. The battery is rated for 4 hrs use, which is plenty for most of what I do. You can't wear regular earmuffs with it, which is a problem when power sanding - I don't like ear plugs.
Biggest gripe about it: you swing the filter unit up to replace the battery; getting it back into place is a challenge, especially when the unit is new.
Unexpected side-effect: the fan isn't noisy but it is very effective at masking sounds (like my partner calling me to supper).
