Tung Oil Sealer

>I have been using Lee Valley Polymerized Tung Oil, High Luster with some success, thanks to Russ. I'm now ready for another purchase and noted in the Lee valley catalogue that they have a Tung Oil Sealer. It can be used as a first coat and also mixed with the high luster tung oil to give low-luster finish. Has anyone used the sealer as a first coat and/or mixed with the Tung Oil. I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks

>Save your money. Add about 30% Turpentine to the Polymerized Tung Oil that you already have, and you will be making the sealer.

Use the Pure Gum Spirits of Turpentine, and not one of the substitutes.

>Thanks Russ, I'm not surprised there is an alternative. I just didn't know what it was.
