>I assume some of you are familiar with the FREEDOM PEN PROJECT for our soldiers overseas but for those of you who are not, you might want to visit www.freedompens.org and check it out. Help these people if you can. It is a worthy cause as you will see when you visit the site.

Freedom Pens Turn-A-Thon Saturday May 15th (Armed Forces Day) at Curly

Woods in McKinney, Texas from 9AM-4PM.

We will have members from the Dallas County Woodturners, the Golden

Triangle Woodturners from Denton and the Hunt County Woodturners coming

to turn 500+ pens that day for the Freedom Pens Project!

On hand will be local military recruiters, in full uniform, to lend

their support along with VFW members from all over the Dallas and North

Texas area. We have local promotions that will be run in the Dallas

Morning News and here in the McKinney Newspaper too.

We are asking all available woodturners in the local area to come and

join us. If you have a mini-lathe or small transportable lathe please

try to make it and lend your assistance to our efforts. Contact us at

(469)742-0097 about details.

Let's make this a smashing success and really show our support for the

troops!

All the best,

Michael Mastin
