>If I use CA to seal a hairline crack in purpleheart before I finish turn, sand, and finish - will it affect the color changes of the purpleheart over time where the CA has soaked into the wood??
Thanks,

>While I can't swear to it, it shouldn't but it might even be a bit darker. Purpleheart gets darker by heat, too, so I don't know if the CA drying heat will darken it. The work that I have done in pupleheart and then applied a friction polish/carnauba wax finish always darkened for me so I don't think the sealing changes the effect.
