Cherry Burl
Brad
>Need some advice: As a "new turner," I've been rough turning a lot of green wood, I remembered that I had a nice chunk of cherry burl that I harvested about 10 years ago. Last week I turned it into a bowl, I'm pretty excited with how it's turning out. I should be ready to apply a finish this weekend. I'm looking for suggestions on the best finish for a piece like this. It has lots of those "burley" cracks and inclusions, so I don't suppose using wax would be a good idea. I don't want to mess this up, it may be a long time before I get another piece of wood like this. Any suggestions are most appreciated. I do not have spray equipment.
