>It's called Lab Metal. Check with welding supply stores. Arcet in my area carries it. It is about like creamy peanut butter. It dries HARD and you have to sand like mad. I wouldn't use a tool on it. When you sand take it down to 1500 least and it will shine like silver.

I think you may have seen it in Woodturning. Sserch the web for Lab Meantle and I think you will find it. If I come across the artical I will get back to you.

I'm wondering, too, if atomized metal powders in either epoxy or something like Minwax high-performance wood filler (which is a catalyzed polyester) would give a simliar result...
