Whew! What a week!

TDaniel

>It's over! The Southern States Symposium last week-end followed by 3 days with Chris Stott. What a week! Chris gave a flawless demo today after 2 days of "hands-on demos". No one got hurt, pretty ofjects were made, everyone had fun.....how good can it get? Chris now goes to the Peachstate Turning Club and then to NC. Monday, I have to go buy more tools because Chris convinced me I need a third tool, a spindle gouge, actually 3 spindle gouges because he sharpens them differently for different purposes. For those who plan to study with him over the next few weeks, you might as well go buy some 3/8" spindle gouges. A fun class, don't miss it!

>Terry,

I'll be taking a class from Chris next weekend. What size spindle gouges - all 3/8", American or English size? Also, different grinds for what purposes?

Glad it all went well for you.....I know we're excited about him being here!

Terry, you told me...

>...I only needed a big bowl gouge and the two home made scrapers. I've learned to use them...heck, I even use the 1/2" gouge for pens. Are you saying I need to relearn what I know? How much for the updated lesson...LOL...
