cherry

>I have received permission to cut downed trees on a 75 acre estate on the banks of the Hudson River. Absolutely stunning! It is ajacent to a state park, and has been in the same family since the 1600's!
My first wood.....a magnificent cherry fell in a windstorm across their driveway. Over 30" diameter, a monster of a cherry. I stopped counting at 150 growth rings.....is appears to be over 200 years old!
Anybody ever see a cherry that big? I didn't think they lived that long.
PS. It was uprooted in the storm....I'm cutting up the root system. there should be some spectacular wood grain there!
