I've been using clear silicone caulk for my mirrors for years and have made a few goblets and used it for gluing them to the wood. Works great.

Not a bit. I first purchased some mirror adhesive. it was about $7 per small tube. It smelled, felt and tasted (OK I lied about the tasting) just like clear silicone caulking which was $5 for a large tube. I tried it and have been using it for about 7 years.

I made the mistake of trying liquid Nails. Mirrors started falling out. It actually stuck to the glass but came off the wood. fortunately it happened really quickly and all of the pieces were in my local gallery. Needless to say I went back to the silicone.

E600 is a good adhesive but I haven't used it for gluing glass to wood so I can't comment on that. I've used it to glue metal to wood, leather to wood and plastic to wood with good success.

>Agreed. Silicone works best with the shifting of the wood. I use it also to attach ceramics or marble tiles to cheese plates.

>E600 or Goop are both great products and should give no problems. I'm not sure about the original use for the E600, but Goop was designed to be used on the soles of shoes, to repair the rubber soles of athletic shoes when the wearer wore a hole in them. It is tough stuff and wears like iron. We've used it in our shop for loads of applications and have never had it fail.
