anyone had experience with different brand of chains for their chain saw? I use a husky with the husky chain and it seems I'm always sharpening.

>Husky uses Oregon chain and bars. They are just rebadged with the Husky name. Oregon chain steel is a little softer than Sthil and Carlton and needs to be sharpened sooner. That said I use Oregon 72LG and love it. It being a little softer makes it file a little easier and it's cheaper than Sthil chain. Carlton makes very good chain, I use it on my smaller saw that runs .325 pitch chain. Here's a link to a guy that I get my chain from. Great prices and product

>HI Larry, I use Stihl chain, I cut firewood as well as turning stock. The Stihl chain seems far superior....it seems to go much longer between sharpenings. The Oregon chain needs sharpening once an hour, it seems.
