>Musing over your comments regarding coffee and voids got me to thinking ( don't do that much). I had some cherry with sap runs and some knots both had small "lines" on them. Coffee was too dark. Stole some nutmeg and cinnamon from the kitchen. Figured since they are wood products might work. Looks great and smells wonderful when sanded. Wonder for real dark if cocoa bean might also work.. Of course the kitchen master is unhappy..

>Well, I'm certainly not Russ, but a coffee grinder will give you the powder you need, and the coffee, as Russ has pointed out, seems to be a natural accelerator. You might give this approach a try, it works for me.
By the way, I found that Buckeye burl will set CA glue off quickly, as well. I won't tell you how I found this out, though.

>Thanks, Yes I use coffee regularly mostly for accents. This time the coffee was too dark and I wantedto hide the check completely. The cinnamon does not set the CA as quickly as the nutmeg. Neither are as fast as the coffee.
