1st bowl

>I'm going to try and post some pictures of some of my turnings. This bowl is a replica of an antique candy bowl that we have. It is cherry and is the first bowl that I made after getting my lathe in 1990.It is laminated of rings and the wall thickness is 3/16".It is 5" d x 61/2" h. I'm not sure of the finish but I suspect it is lacquer.

>Floyd,

There are many shareware programs that let you change the resolution of photos. One that I like is Irfanview. You can download it for free from the link below.

Once you install it, open your file and then go to Image > Resize/Resample. A reasonable size for photos for newsgroups is 640 x 480 or less at 72 dots per inch. Save your file with a new name and you'll be amazed at the difference in size before and after Irfanview.
