Incorrect Hp ratings OT a bit

>A few days ago there was a thread dealing with chainsaws and the horse power rating of electircs. I mentioned I had a Remington rated at 3.5 hp and was a bit dubious of the rating. Someone pointed out the formula for determineing the correct rating which was closer to 2hp or less. Yesterday I read about a class action law suit in which several air compressor manufacturers have to pay for their "inflated" ratings. I believe Porter Cable, Housfield and a couple of others advertized ratings that were more than actuals for their compressors. Some agreed to give sums to charity others a $50 rebate on new purchases from them and so forth. Interesting..
