>Hello, I have about 12 feet of one inch steel rod. If smeone has a welder and can weld I could bring the rod over and we could make some T-bar style tool rests for each of us. I also have the chop saw to cut stuff to size. I live near Louisville, Kentucky but don't want to drive real far. Anyone live near Louisville more or less?

I also have a section of 1" steel rod that I was going to turn into tool rests but I've never done anything with it. If you are willing to share your design with me I'd be willing to send you a welded up tool rest. Same thing you suggested only long distance?

>No need to send anything. The design is simple as can be, its just a "T". I think Bestwoods and Craft Supplies sells this type. Theirs is fancy and is very well finished. I went for utilitarian and very cheap. I had a few made up at a local muffler shop. I didn't contour them or anything just cut two pieces off and welded one to the other. So far has worked great. I was just looking for a way to get rid of some of that rod and benefit two of us. Thanks for the offer though!! Guy
