>Many of us use the Sioux or Milwaukee close quarter drills for sanding. With heavy use the rear bearing tends to fail a bit too soon for some of us. I was at the Milwaukee Service Center yesterday to buy a bearing and I asked if a better bearing was available for the dusty environment. He said that the stock bearing was a shielded bearing but for $3 more I could get a sealed bearing. The part number for the sealed bearing is:
EE 1 1/2 2RSM3GSR.

>This number is not a Milwaukee number but a bearing number; any bearing company should be able to supply it. Milwaukee has just made some changes to the drill so I cannot say for certain that it is the same bearing. I think the main changes were to the switch and the cooling vents.

Kidding Terry! For the record, I'll say that I've been more than pleased with Terry's dealings....great guy, and I will say "you can buy with confidence from him!" (now Terry, can I have that "mini" bowl you had at the meeting on Saturday???)
